Maple Square provides 132 much needed affordable workforce units serving individuals, families, and seniors. Affirmed Housing secured purchase agreements with two separate property owners for three parcels located in Centerville Redevelopment Project area, and the Redevelopment Agency conveyed a vacant parcel to complete the land assembly.

Approval of a Planned District and a General Plan Amendment were required to redevelop the site. Input from the surrounding neighbors on massing, design, colors, and community amenities contributed to the development of a community rich in architectural beauty and innovative design. Construction of the craftsman style apartments, which include 2 and 3 story slab-on-grade structures and one 3 story podium structure with subterranean parking, was completed in January 2007.

A centrally located community building accommodates a management office, recreational room and resident computer learning center. Other site features include tot lots, picnic and barbeque areas, a play court, laundry facilities and ample landscaping.
